6 months and 50 pounds
Hello. I am at my 6 month anniversary yesterday. Currently down 50 pounds. No weight loss in the past 6 weeks and feeling discouraged. My band use to feel tight but now it seems like i dont feel it much anymore. I still feel full for 3 - 4 hours but catch myself snacking between. It is normal for the restrictive feeling to go away. Any suggestions to get the weight to start coming off again?

Congrats on your wonderful weight loss! I'm just past 6 months and I've lost 38 or 39 lbs. but I'm a slow loser and I'm OK with that. I exercise quite a bit. I did have to give up walking in this AR heat till fall cools off the evenings a bit. I will go back to it cause I like walking almost as much as Curves Zumba. You may need a slight fill. Losing some belly fat may have loosened your band. When was your last fill?
Yes, it's normal for your band to loosen as you lose weight. Think about it...your band is around your stomach, your stomach is surrounded by fat. When the fat goes a way your band will be looser. It's probably time for a fill. My surgeon recommends every 6 wks for the first year IF you need it. Here are the 3 questions they generally use to determine whether or not you need a fill:
1. Can you eat more than 1 cup of dense food at a time?
2. Has your weight loss stalled?
3. Are you hungry between meals?
If you can answer yes to two or more of these questions you probably need a little tweak. Remember, as your band gets filled it can take very little to get the feeling of restriction so even a .25cc fill can make a huge difference.
Also, ask yourself the tough questions...Have you slacked off your diet? Are you still measuring your portions or have the crept up? Are you logging your daily intake? Are you drinking with meals? Are you exercising? These are the questions I ask myself when I start getting "comfortable" and think I don't need to be as rigid as before. It's always good to give yourself a behavior check now and then to make sure you're doing what you think you're doing.
Your results are awesome! Don't stress at all, but key your eye on the prize!
Best~

Awesome results! But yes stalls are frustrating - sometimes it takes a while for the scale to catch up with ur loses - so ensure your measuring yourself too - because inches count too !
As with the other comments, yes the band does get loser as you lose fat, so u may need a fill.
Also, as you get closer to your goal, weight loss will definitely slow down - so ensure your getting in cardio and strength training into your fitness program !

Congrats! Sounds like you've done wonderful! I would just check to see if you could get another fill. Some months I don't feel like I need them and others I'm desperate for on!
