Are you seriously asking a group of non- medical people, none of whom you know anything about, what to do as you are vomitting blood?

Ask your doctor! Now!

Best wishes,

Kate

Please, please, please see your doctor.  I know you're afraid, but it is imperitive, if not for yourself, for those who care about you.  Our imaginations are often worse than reality, but regardless just bite the bullet and do it.

If you are still alive and can read this you should get to a Dr IMMEDIATLY. If you aren't and therefore can't.....then I hope OH leaves this post up as a tragic lesson to others.

Thank you for all your comments. I did see someone and I was diagnosed with an "eating disorder". I have been making myself sick and the blood is from the irratation in my throat.

I am not sure what steps to take now...I was asked to enter into a treatment program but have refused since money is tight and I have to work but have agreed to be seen once a week.

I am somewhat confused because I was under the impression people with an eating disorder were either really big or really frail; I am neither but am getting thinner each day. When I look at the people that have the ribs show it disgusts me but when I look in the mirror and I see my collar bone or some ribs I get excited and think to myself if only I could lose more and show more bones. I realize I might need help later on down the road but not now...I don't think I have gone too far.

In addition to being treated for an eating disorder, you need to be treated for whatever is wrong with your band/esophagus.  It sounds horrible all the way around.

Remember that all those people with the bones sticking out started out just like you.
and an eating disorder is more about how you feel about yourself. Has nothing to really do with size.

The issue is also you had been throwing up without forcing it.  Did you go to see your bariatric surgeon to look at your band?  He/she should make sure there is nothing wrong with it so going forward you will be ok..
They might also want to remove some fluid to give you esophagus time to rest...  and heall..

Good luck on your path..I hope it works out for you.
