Throwing up vile and blood
Here lately I have been throwing up stomach acid and vile and with it comes a lot of blood. I know someone is going to say to go to the doctor's but I am afraid of what they might find since my mind wonders.
Can someone tell me has this ever happened to you? I am very weak and tired all of the time.
I should also mention one thing....I started three months ago throwing up after I eat, I know that this is bad but now it seems to happen without me even triggering it. If I do have an eating disorder where do I go? Who do I turn too?
Thanks in advance!

Could it be an ulcer? I am not a medical professional but I do not think I would walk to the closest ER, I would run. Nothing about that sounds very good. If it is an eating disorder, there are professionals out there to help you. Please go to the doctor because your health is at risk. I hope you get this resolved quickly and I wish you all the luck. Please come back to let us know you are alright. Best wishes!
I agree with the other poster..
This is NOT GOOD!!
Do you have an eating disorder? You were purposely vomitting?
When was the last time you saw your surgeon?
I know vomitting with the band is not a good thing. It is possible that forcing yourself to vomit has caused an issue with the band.
Bile comes from the gallbladder
Blood can be from irritation.
It may not be as bad as you may imagine, but it does need to be addressed.
Be honest with them too about the forced vomitting! They do need to know everything to be able to help you!!
GOOD LUCK!!! and keep us posted

You need to see your doctor asap. Most often, if you're just vomiting small amounts of blood, it is because you've irritated your esophagus an broken tiny capillaries. However, it sounds like what your saying is that you starting intentionally vomiting month ago and now it happens even if you don't try to do so. This is bulemia, and it is very dangerous even without a band. Your doctor can help you with local referrals for treatment of your eating disorder, there are specialists available to help you. Bulemia can cause you to have an irregular heartbeat and even a heart attack.
If you weren't trying to make yourself vomit at all but you've been doing so for months, you may very well have something wrong with your band, such as a slip. Either way, you need to go to a doctor.

This is not normal. Most band patients avoid vomiting at all costs as it can lead to a slipped band, unfortunately this is the least of your worries.
Did you have to pass a psych eval prior to surgery? I so, reconnecting with the psychologist that did your eval is a good place to start.
Come clean to your surgeon before you do irreparable harm to yourself.

If you're throwing up bile and stomach acid, you've got a problem. The doctor is there to HELP you. Leaving this as it is will set you up for permanent esophageal issues.
Do you still have your gallbladder, by any chance? If your stomach is empty, bile will still come up. And having a gallstone caught in a bile duct can cause vomiting, too.
Get checked. You need to have help with this immediately.
edited to add: BILE is made by the liver and released by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. You need to go to the library and look at some books on anatomy to understand how what you're going through is affecting your entire gastrointestinal system. It's the first step in being proactive. You have to be in charge of your health.
Oh, and if you Google "BULIMIA"... you'll find a lot of good information and support. I think you "taught" yourself to throw up after eating and now it has become a reflex. Either way, I'm concerned for you and you really do need help to avoid disaster.
