You said it... easier said than done.  He is as adult as any husband can get! LOL! Sorry don't mean to be insulting to men, but seriously... do I have to hold your hand for you to do everything!  You might be right that it would be better for the Dr to call the other Dr & let him know what is going on... Even if hubby cut his work trip short, our surgeon is moving & is no longer seeing patients after Tuesday or Wednesday... so I don't know that he would be back in time. The other bariatric surgeons in town are only taking his patients on a case by case basis.  FRUSTRATING!!!

As far as dehydration goes... he also works outdoors so I worry about him getting dehydrated also! He is in an un-air conditioned truck, and it is very hot outside.  He usually does okay getting liquids down.

The thing that worries me the most is how quickly he has gotten worse... I don't know if it is a different enviroment or if it is allergies & the mucous is making things worse... I just don't know!

Just an update!!! DH finally called the surgeon & he recommended that my husband call a local Lap-band surgeon to take a little bit off his fill.  Hopefully he won't have to do too much to have this done... I told him if he needed to to call our surgeon back & have him call the local surgeon directly to speed the process up a bit!

Thanks for all your help!

Since he is having problems I would think it would be wise to have a complete unfill not a partial.  If things go well and there are no issues over the next several months then he can step up his restriction.

I totally agree with the others and can tell you from experience the longer it goes on the worse it gets so I hope he marches his stubborn male, testosterone infested body directly to the nearest surgeon. And yes it is soooo a man thing!

There are several band doctors in the Birmingham area if he was to go to a local ER. I'm not familiar with the B'ham band docs since I'm north of B'ham.

I hope e gets relief soon!!

We share the same surgeon (for a little while). I hate it that he is leaving, but I know how strongley he feels about calling him if you even think something is not right. I just went on two week vacation and he made me go on the internet before I left to have a dr. found i n the area I would be. I am going to try DR. Blatchford in Ark. City. Good luck

You too Diane! I hate that he is leaving... he is such a great doctor! So are you from the Wichita area?
