What the heck?!
I just got back from Orlando yesterday. The whole time I was down there I was very careful on what I ate. I got stuck the first night and made sure I took it really easy the rest of the week. I drank my protein shakes for breakfast, dense protein and veggies for lunch and supper, and exercised on the treadmill every day. I also walked and walked at all of the theme parks. I was determined to not gain weight while I was down there. One night I ate a small piece of cheese cake and that was all the cheating I did. I get on the scale this morning...up three pounds! I want to cry. I was so close to my 199 goal. Now I have to lose four pounds to get there. Those three pounds I gained took me three weeks to lose. I am sorry for the rant, but I am really disappointed.
The good news...I still love my band. While on vacation I stayed away from the dozens of cookies my mom made. I made great food choices (except for the one piece of cheesecake) and woke up and exercised everyday. Prior to being banded I would have ate my way throught the theme parks and devoured all the cookies. I probably would have gained alot more than three pounds too. I felt great all week in my clothes and was happy to take pictures with my three year old. I do love my band, but hate the way my body gains weight! LOL

Aw, that would be disappointing, but with the behavior you described surely it can't be 3 lbs of fat. Maybe it is jus****er fluctuation associated with being in a different place or possibly you ate out quite often and there was more sodium than you're used to...
Anyway, pick yourself up and get back into your routine at home and I bet those 3 lbs drop off sooner than you think.
Congrats on doing so well on vacation even if the scale hasn't registered it yet!

Forget about the three pounds and celebrate the awesome new self control that you have managed to conquer. THAT is more impressive to me then if you would have posted you lost three pounds.
Seriously....think about what you just said about what the old you would have done. You just kicked ass in the self control department. Be happy and proud of your accomplishments.
THAT WAS NOT AN EASY THING TO DO !

Congrats on doing so well. Heck 3 pounds could be fluid retention or constipation etc etc.... I bet you lose that quickly. I can gain 2 pounds in a day from fluid retention. You will see that "1" in front very soon!
Thank you ladies! I am very happy with my new self-control the band has given me. I am proud of myself for my accomplishments on vacation. I just have to regain focus and get these pounds off to reach my goal. The challenge will be the birthday cake and ice cream at my daughter's bday party today. I can and will do it though!
