Has this happened to you?
i have an 11ml sweedish band and i currently have 9.25mls in it i had my last fill in march which was 0.25ml and before that january which is the first time i felt real restriction my problem is i'm feeling hungary and wanting to eat all the time
( possilble head hungar as i was a comfort eater) i've not lost any weight for a while in march 2010 i was 224 lbs when i was banded now i'm around 172 i've been at this weight about 2 months now and it's really getting me down i don't feel i'm going to get to my target weight of 147 lbs i'm wondering if i need a fill but how much more can i get? i feel tight on a morning and sometimes can eat but by lunch time i feel i can eat quite a lot and have noticed i do eat more. As my weight is not coming down i feel i'm letting bad foods creep back into my diet does anyone have any advice and has anyone been there before what should i do? i feel so disapointed with myself and someone said to me who does not know i have the band your just not meant to be skinny i dont want to be skinny i want to be comfortable and happy whilst i do feel a whole lot more confident i'm not totally happy that slimmer girl is in there i just need to find her!!!!!

How long ago did you get Banded? Our weight tends to fluctuate alot early in our journey.
At you basing weightloss upon the scale? Start using your measuring tape too!
**My questions are not just for you but anyone else who finds themselves going through this same situation.
-Do you attend regular WLS support group meetings from your Dr.s office? ***You may hear something at those meetings that can apply to yourself. Early in the journey we have focused on the surgery, and have forgotten how to prepare for the actual journey. This is an on going journey, not a final destination. When you finally get to your "goal weight", you still have to learn how to deal with yourself.
- Are you weighing and measuring?
** Some people don't like to do that because it reminds them of their "dieting days". But, obviously we never knew proper portions. We didn't become obese from all our healthy eating. I am 4 yrs out and I chop up my veggies, and portion out my yogurts and prepare my fruits every Sunday! Portions have a way of growing bigger little by little.
-Is your breakfast a quality dense protien?
*** Watch out that you haven't fallen prey to poor carb choices ( crackers, breads, pastas, anything out of a box). I aim for whole foods "clean eating", as little as possible any processed foods. Poor carb choices will lead you to crave for more poor choices, or just crave for more food.
-How many hours in between meals before eating? 3 to 4 hrs. Dont forget to get tha****er in after 1 hour of eating a meal or even after a quality PROTIEN snack. Some times its that we're thirsty.
-Are you exercising? Are you challenging yourself? Are you lifting weights?
**From time to time we have to increase our speed and go longer. Weight lifting is a great of bumping up your calorie burn.
I posted yesterday "Emotional Eating", check it out, its another great way to rule out needing a "FILL" or just head hunger.
Hope this helps.

Exercise is not a LUXURY!
Exercise is a NECESSITY
It sounds like you already know that you are self-sabotaging by eating things that aren't healthy for your WL goal. Prek has given you great advice....back to basics and work on faithfully tracking whatever you eat. If you're not loading up on dense proteins and veggies, you will be hungry between meals. Slider foods and liquid calories will not keep you full.
The only thing I can add, is that therapy would be really helpful if you are an emotional food addict like I am. Learning new skills to cope with emotional (head) hunger does work. It's been really helpful for me when I choose to use the skills I've learned.
It doesn't sound to me like you need a fill. If you're already tight in the a.m., being tighter will not help.
Are you getting 20 g of morning protein? This is critical to your success even if you have to get it throught protein shakes! My surgeon insists on 20-30 g of protein within 1 hour of waking to jumpstart your metabolism and set you up for a successful day!
Back to basics! You CAN do this!
Best~
