SOOOO...my Houston Doctor is now longer in practice...

I knew that he was moving on before I gotten the surgery, so its not a surprise. a month ago I had my 2nd fill and said good bye to Dr. Spivak.. he insured me that I would be taken care of with the new doctor that was taken over his patients...

well I am kinda feeling sick at my stomach since I just called the new doctors office in the Houston Medical Center... Texas Laparoscopic Consultants... after the run around of them having to make sure I had 1 year follow up care already paid for BEFORE they would even schedule me an appt, and asking me if I had registered with their office as a patient.. I was like wtf!

I then get on the phone with the gentleman to schedule my appointment.. he tells me to bring my insurance card (after I had just discussed that I was self paid and covered for a year) he blurts out "whats your weight and height?" i am thinking... what they heck does that matter... just schedule the appointment, does my height and weight mean I get a good appointment time slot.. or do they schedule the heavier at certain times and so on... doesn't make much sense.

someone who uses this new doctors office please give me some piece of mind that the doctor and his team is capable and a little bit more sensitive/compassionate. I just spent all my hard earned money on this journey in April and am feeling uneasy about this new doctor.

waaaaaaaa

If you mean Dr. W.  there was some discussion about him taking over on the Houston Bandsters list:

I'm sorry, I don't have any personal experience to share.
