Pain seem a little better this am, but did wake up last night and have to take some meds. Had my first bout of nausea last night, but no vomitting...thank God. So today. I have SOOO much gas , the burping and hiccups are terrible. Makes me wish I could have one big belch and fart and get it gone!! Still not feeling hungry, is this normal?

Welcome to the losers bench!
It is normal to not feel hungry. Just be sure you are drinking. If your area is affected by this heat you will want to push fluids a little harder than you normally would at this point.

I was one of the odd ones that was hungry from this point on, in fact ravenous. You sound as if you are making good progress, be sure you walk, a lot. That will make the gas pass sooner. While it feels as if you should be able to pass it as you normally would (only louder) it is actually gas between the organs rather than intestional gas. That makes it harder to get rid of. A heating pad helps if it is very painful. Don't be afraid to take your pain meds, too. I needed them for gas pain as well as surgical pain.

YUP! Me too! take GAS-X strips....You'll need four to constitute a dose. walk..walk and walk! I hate laying down now it is so uncomfortable....I sit up or stand untill I go to bed. and I am not hungry either. but my nurse said I should drink 2 gallons!! I was like.."not gonna happen!" I have been sipping on Atkins shake....and it is easier for me to freeze it into an "icecream" and hack away at it with a spoon. Jut keep sipping your liquids.
