LONGGGGG time NO see!
Hello everyone!
Well, it has been forever since I have been on this site, but I am soooo overdue.
I had lost 95lbs in less than a year and was doing fabulous. Then I got pregnant and had to have my lapband completely emptied due to not even being able to swallow yogurt. Well, once i had it emptied i got right back to my bad habits plus more. I gained 40 lbs and kept saying yeah i'll get back on track right after i have the baby. Well it has been 19 months and I have not lost one pound even with 2 fills. And the sad thing is, it is all flab everywhere especially my lower belly and arms. I look at myself and pictures of when i was at my lowest and want to cry.
I have started back to the gym but really need help disciplining myself with my eating. Any suggestions??
I would like to have another fill, but i am having so many problems with food getting stuck, I am scared to.
PLEASE HELP!!

First let me say, you did it once, you can do it again. Since your getting stuck, doesn't seem like you need a fill. Actually, unless your eating too fast, not chewing enough. How much are you able to eat? How long are you satisfied for? You may want to talk to your surgeon about a small fill.
My advice is to keep going to the gym and to log everything you eat. Not only does working out burn calories (and keep your metabolism up for the day) there is something about it that helps with food choices. That's great you've started back at the gym. Are you breaking a sweat? Are you doing cardio for at least 30 minutes? If not, I would tweek what your doing.
As far as diet, I swear by eating lowcarb/lowfat/high protien. I am very rote with what I eat, but it works for me. I have eggs for breakfast, a lean protien (chicken, fish, portloin) and non-starchy veggie for lunch and dinner. I snack on nuts (1/4c) and lowfat cheese sticks.
Be sure you are getting in lots of water- at least 64oz.

Actually you may need a small unfill to get back on track. If you are getting stuck it just keeps things irritated and continues to cause problems. Are you doing 24-48 hors of liquids after each stuck episode? That is standard for any serious stuck or PB or actually any time your band is irritated. When we are too tight we tend to eat slidder foods that are usually more calorie laden. Getting stuck shouldn't be a daily issue. So see if you can get just a small unfill to relieve the problem. good luck!
