Lapband weight loss
I lost a whole 30 whopping lbs with the band and that was before I ever had restriction.
Since having the band out I don't notice any difference except I no longer vomit, slime, pb, or am in pain if I took a bit of something that never bothered me before. And I am doing the same thing now....dieting!
I honestly could've lost the weight without going through all of this plus 2 surgeries.
Seriously weigh your options. The band has the most post-op complications and least effective weightloss out of any weight loss surgery. And most likely you will be hungry. New studies show that banded ppl may produce 2times as much grehlin (hunger hormone) than others.
The sleeve removes part of the stomach where grehlin is produced.
Why not consider that?

I wouldnt go for the band with that amount of weight loss.
Band will work for SOME, not for everyone.
I am having my band removed 8/1 and revising.
It is just a tool.
It is very easy to eat around the band.
I have been regurgurating for months and couldn't live like this anymore, even with some unfills, etc.
Please research more into this lapband, and other options if your surgeon offers other options. My surgeon is not a fan of the lapband anymore.

i agree with the other posts. its a slow process. you still have to diet and exercise but the band is a tool that helps with the hunger. eating low carb and low fat can make anyone loose 200 pounds but its the band that helps with the hunger. for me its been a slow process but i also have let carbs back in my life and they are not my friend.
