Well, I think I learned a very valuable lesson tonight. I learned that dried apricots, one of my most favorite foods, are no longer on the menu for me. I have been stuck for the last 45 minutes with this stupid piece of fruit. I know it's in there, taunting me, making me drool like my pit bull at the thought of a Beggin' Strip.

What can I do to make this agony end?

A humbled and stuck,
La Profesora

Sorry to say but the only thing that ever helped me was to bend over and cough at the porcelin god.  Anything stuck more than 10 minutes just was never going to go down.

Ok, other tips....
1) Chew gum after eating something if it feels like it is a little stuck.  It works some times for me.
2) Make sure when you chew items that you not only naw at them but break them into little pieces with your teeth, there is a difference.  Little pieces go down, nawed food doesn't.
3) Make sure you have had liquids a while before eating foods that tend to get stuck. I could NEVER eat anything first thing in the morning before drinking something hot to loosen up.
4) Eat the food most likely to get stuck last.

I'm sorry you're stuck but just think of all the calories you'll be saving from not eating that very high sugar treat!

Sometimes drinking something fill flush out the offending food morsel.

Take care!

If you are still stuck, which I sure hope you aren't, try papaya enzymes.  You chew about 3 of them. And they sure have helped me if something gets stuck.  Feel better.
