I can't do re-heated foods in the microwave either!  I am experiencing the same thing you are going through - most of the time fine and then some of the time BAM nothing is going through.  If you find an answer please share!

Well I have the problem of mine tightening but it doesn't loosen back up like yours, it stays tighter. Since yours is intermitant I don't have any idea what it is. I suspect (only my personal theory) that scar tissue builds up under the band and causes tightening. I finally had mine emptied to get relief. I wish ya good luck but got no answers.

I will take the good luck.  Thanks Hislady.  I wish that both of us had a better experience.

I was having a similar problem - band would clamp shut at the drop of a hat with 0 in it.  I talked to my doctor about the symptoms - heartburn, tightness in my upper abs, and etc. For me it wasn't the band that was causing me to get stuck it was my esophagus. I had my EGD done where they stretched my esophagus and saw gastritis. At the same time I had a HIDA scan done and found out that only 20% of my gall bladder was functioning.

When my band doctor removed my gall bladder he found that the gall bladder had started to fuse together with the fat in my upper abs. We think that between the gall bladder and etc that's what caused my problems.

I can say that I'm recovering from the gall bladder removal (that was Monday) but I'm having no problems eating (when I want to eat).

Now there was a supplement that I took before all of this to help eat called Relora. It helps with appetite but it also helps relax you (if you have a stress loving band). My sister (who is also banded) swears by it. It helped me but again - I have not had to take it since getting things stretched and removed.

Good luck!!
Noel

PS  sorry if I'm a bit rambling the kids are running around and my nausea meds are kicking in.

I buy it online at netrition.com the bottle costs about $9. If you have a health food store in the area they may sell it there.

The capsule is kinda big but It disolves quickly

The manufacturer is NOW. My sister swears by their True Calm as well. Her band seems to be haywired all the time.

Good luck!!!!

Melly that is why I call mine a psycho band. It's just completely unpredictable. Although I have no restriction most of the time...............it will for no reason at all tighten from time to time.
