barium swallow

I go today for my first visit in a while. I have been so weak with food choices. I feel like I have failed at yet another attempt to lose weight. My dr wants me to have a barium swallow since I haven't been in over 8 months. Hoping all goes well. Pray for me, please. I am very nervous, but your encouragement prompted me to go ahead and make this appointment and get back on track. Anyone had to do the barium swallow before? I so dread facing the nurse at my drs office. She seems to think that losing weight is so easy, but I don't think she understands. I so need some help getting past my "head" hunger.

Hi, it's great that you are getting your band checked out.  Each day is a new start to getting healthier.
I had an UGI, barium swallow after surgery and then at my 1 year checkup and next Monday I will have my next one. It's good to get things checked out.

As far as head hunger, you need to make a plan.  What will you do when you want to snack and don't really need a snack?
