Shortness of Breath?
Adjustable Gastric Band on 03/17/11
you scared me for a second... the nurse in my wants to scream CALL 911!
But, realizing you're a fellow bandster, yes, when I have one bite too many, I tend to get a bit short of breath. I think it's because the band sits right near your diaphragm, the organ that assists with breathing, when you apply pressure to the diaphragm, many find it hard to catch their breaths. Usually, when the food goes down, I feel so much better. Sometimes, I have to stretch my arms above my head to get the food going down faster. It does go away but if not, definitely have someone on standby calling 911!
Hope you're feeling better!
Take care!

all the weight has been lost post-op..I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
highest weight: 333 pounds (I know I gained after my last "weigh in" in the doctors office so probably it's more like 340 pounds)
current weight: 151 pounds (7/12/11)
I've been at goal (165 pounds) for 6 months now and now on maintence. I tend to go up and down depending on time of the month and such!
