NSV -- Another item checked off the Bucket List!

Yesterday, my husband and I and 2 other couples drove up to Phoenix and took a 'float trip' down the Salt River.

We rented tubes, slathered on the sunscreen and spent 4 fabulous hours floating down the Salt River.

We had a blast!!   We laughed, ate, drank, relaxed and enjoyed a great time!

I NEVER would have put on shorts in public before my surgery, let alone try to get my big butt into a tube.

My band has allowed me to live a life that is so much richer and fuller than I ever imagined.

I am no longer 'the fat girl'

Here we are -- we called ourselves "OPIB" -- Old People In Blue -- once we figured out that we were all wearing blue shirts -- I am the one in the khaki shorts.

You look great and what a beautiful smile. I am going tubing soon and for the first time ever I am excited!

Wow band sister!  I bet that was fun!  And what a beautiful background!  Wow!  You look great Kath.  Isn't it fun doing new activities?  I'm so happy for you.

It's gotten very warm here with a heat index of 107 right now.  I'm working this weekend, so I don't mind, but the entire next week is supposed to stay the same.

You look great! That is so cool!! I dread the lazy river athe the waterpark but hopefully next year I won't dread doing it with my family.

Fun times!  Way-to-go!  You're out there living life and trying new things!  Aint life grand?

I love tubing the Sal River Canyon! I never did it until after I was banded as well....too chicken before! Now, I miss it since I moved away from AZ. Good job!
