Never been happier to be told .....

that I only need to lose 10-20  pounds and my BMI and fat percentage would be in a normal range.

The RN that talked with me did not have any of my  past stats or history.  I did not tell her either.

I went home and found my paper from 2 years ago to compare.

My employer has wellness screenings.  They do free blood work, measure your waist circumference, and use a Tanita Body Composition Analyzer.  I had this done 2 years ago.

I have either shrunk or just measured shorter by an inch today from 2 years ago.

           10/2/09       7/14/11
Wt.       232.6        168
BMI      37.5           28.0
Fat %   47.8%       34.7%

I think those are pretty impressive numbers!  The normal fat % is 23-34%.

Have a great day!

Kristi,

Impressive indeed! Especially the fat %. The BMI calculation doesn't take into account things like bone & muscle mass, ethnicity, gender, but the fat % is the fat %, and as far as I'm concerned, yours is close enough to normal!
