We're about to get our first Trader Joe's here in KC and I'm so excited!  I would love to hear everyone's Trader Joe's faves.  I had to have an unfill due to reflux and I've been unfilled for a couple of months.  I'm hoping to get a fill next week and get going again.  I want to be ready with my Trader Joe's shopping list!

Tj's is great. A lot of good options. I'm going to be doing a blog post about some of their healthier choices in the next wk. or 2 actually.

3 of the WLS favs seem to be the jerkey, steel-cut oats and the B-12. I'm not really sure how their B-12 differs from others, I just know I have heard several WLS'ers mention that they love the TJ B-12.

I get the TJ Multi-grain Pita Bite crackers and have them with cheese. Also they have "Better n Peanut Butter". It is low fat and low cal. It makes an awesome protein shake!

My daughter loves their low-fat banana chips. There are 2 kinds they have low fat and low sugar. The low fat one actually has less sugar than the low sugar one. Go figure!

They also have bison burgers, and their turkey meatballs are suppose to be really good.

I hate their sub-lingual B12.  It has a lot of some kind of artificial sweetener in it and it takes a long time to get that taste out of your mouth.

I too love the turkey meatballs.  Other really good items:

meatless pulled chicken
carnitas pork
guacamole hummus

I also buy my chewable muli-vitamins there.  These were the only vitamins that didn't taste chalky to me.

TJ's can be dangerous.  I never leave there without spending a LOT because there are so many great things there...

Have fun!

I was just at my TJs on Sunday!!!

I love love love their already cooked chicken patties found in the fresh meat section in the store.  warning though, they are high in sodium but I just drink lots of water to compensate

frozen turkey meatballs

roasted garlic hummus

frozen fruits for protein smoothies

better n butter peanut butter

chicken broth in a box (cheaper than my other grocery stores!)

creamy tomato soup in a box (super yum!)

100 cal brie cheese

all the weight has been lost post-op..I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

highest weight: 333 pounds (I know I gained after my last "weigh in" in the doctors office so probably it's more like 340 pounds)
current weight: 151 pounds (7/12/11)
I've been at goal (165 pounds) for 6 months now and now on maintence.  I tend to go up and down depending on time of the month and such!

I haven't made this in awhile but it was always a favorite of my family's.  They have already made pizza dough in the refrigerated section.  It comes in flour and wheat dough.  I would buy their pizza sauce (also my favorite!!!) and cheese and italian turkey sausage and veggies and make mini calzones.  Yummy!!!

The fun thing about TJs is just trying things that you think you might like.  Another thing is they have great prices on nuts, olive oil, coffee and cheeses.

I highly recommend their unsweetened vanilla almond milk.  Not that high in protein, but it is low in carbs and is a great substitute for milk if you are lactose intolerant.  It is hard to find elsewhere.

Some of my favorite things are not exactly low calorie or band friendly so I won't mention them.  I am not crazy about any of their sauces that come in jars.  They do have a good marinara that comes in a can.
