Success of lap band after 5 years

I am 5-years out with my band, down 185+ lbs. with about another 50 to lose.  I have been at a stand still for quite a while because I have been lax on getting fills and getting back to basics.  I finally went for a fill about 4-weeks ago and the weight loss has started again.

I consider myself and my band to be a miracle, because i was physically dieing 5-years ago!  Aside from needing a port replacement, which was a minor thing, I have had no band related issues in these 5-years!  Blessings,

I was banded 4.5 years ago.  I'm still thrilled. 
I'm still working on those last 10 pounds, but my life has changed so much for the better.
Zero complications. 

I am 5 1/2 years out and I am still doing fine with my band. It may fail me tomorrow but as of now I consider myself a success.

Hi Kathy, I am 9 years out and I have kept my weight off. As long as you follow your surgeons program and make good eating choices, you will do well. Good luck. Mona
