head hunger

I, too, have an almost nightly fight with the night munchies, which is head hunger, and I win 50% and lose the same amount of time.  I probably should just go to bed, because it occurs about 3 or 4 hours after dinner and I am hungry.  One of the things that helps is increasing fiber.  It does help.  I have added benefiber to my nightly decaf and I chew gummie fiber 2 to 3 times a day.  Good Luck!

will definitely look into the benefiber gummies.  Actually having issues in the lack of fiber department and that could kill two birds with 1 stone!  thanks!

Thank you Debbie for telling me about the gummy fiber. I will look for them.
When my head hunger comes out I refer to it as the Demon. When I am at work I try to tell myself that it is too soon to eat and will increase my liquids by forcing myself to drink more. I also have a husband that brings home unhealthy snack/junk food. Chips and dip can be a major temptation, but after they gave me indigestion all night last week it has helped to curb that problem. I like to keep the 100 calorie bags of kettle corn on hand. Something about the sweet, salty and crunchy that works to take the craving away. For some strange reason when my stomach is upset it also always helps.

You've done so great though!  You've lost a lot!!!  You must  win over the  demon more often than not!  congratulations!
