More Confused Than Ever

My complaint is as valid as ever. The band has NOT helped me! After 16 fills I still don't have restriction. I still follow the band rules, I DIET, do high protein, lower carb, sugar and fat, don't drink with meals. This is why I have lost weight...........BECAUSE I'M DIETING! Did I expect to have to diet WITH the band? Yes. However I did expect to have the "TOOL" that was advertised to help me and not just do it by feeling like I'm starving all the time!!!

Now if I bought a new car b/c I needed reliable transportation to work, and the car broke down every day after 2 blocks and I only got to work b/c I took a cab the rest of the way..............Then the car would NOT be helping me. I would be achieving my goal because of the cab. Cab/Diet. Same thing. See what I mean?

Lighten up girl.. it was meant as a tease and a compliment, not disparaging your discontent.

But whatever. 

Liz it's no problem. I didn't think u said it in a negative way. I was mainly stating that point to the others that fell if I lost weight that my band is working. Just wanted to clear it up in advance really.

But I understand. Things can be taken many way online when u don't hear the tone in the voice. Sorry if u were offended by what I said.

Don't worry be happy! Have faith in yourself, the band has been the best thing I've ever done to myself. I've had mine now for 6 years and counting and I am still happy! I have the comfort of never worrying about losing restriction which keeps my weight stable. Only your heart and gut will guide you in the right direction, good luck with whichever procedure you choose.

She tried to get into the failed band group, but I spotted her as a potential troll.

Getting the band was the worst decision I've ever made. I had mine removed today and am revising to the sleeve soon. They may not say it, but three of the ppl on this board who post frequently, and for years, have all had problems that have resulted in having surgeries to fix their bands. Suprisingly they all still love their bands. Go figure.

Thanks Maria! I have a good feeling about the sleeve. Everyone says it works like the band was supposed to. Maybe then can i stop strict dieting and lose some weight!
