I have been so tight in the am lately.  This morning I cant even drink water but that is not normal.  Any suggestions?  I am feeling so frustrated and in need of some advice.  I see people posting about eating a protein bar and I cant eat a thing til after lunch most of the time.

Advice so needed.

THanks.

Yes, AMs can sometimes be rough.  When I'm stressed at work or running around in the morning, my band tends to be tighter then loosens up throughout the day.  If you are not even getting water in, try something warm 1st thing in the morning like hot tea or coffee.  If that doesn't work, you may have to see your surgeon to make sure everything is ok.  I would normally say try to relax and remain stress free but who the heck can do that??!!!!!
Good luck and take care!

all the weight has been lost post-op..I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

highest weight: 333 pounds (I know I gained after my last "weigh in" in the doctors office so probably it's more like 340 pounds)
current weight: 151 pounds (7/12/11)
I've been at goal (165 pounds) for 6 months now and now on maintence.  I tend to go up and down depending on time of the month and such!

It is frustrating but Id hate to have an unfill and then gain so, Ill try to be stress free.  I am sure it's work.  The phones ring and the negative stuff starts flowing in.  Ill try coffee right now:)
Thanks much!

If you are too tight for fluids in the AM then you should probably get an unfill to the point where you don't experience this.  It is never a good thing to not be able to take in liquids. Whatever you can do to cut down the risk of scar tissue developement from having a band that is too tight will help you with the band greatly.

i remember my NUT saying warm liquids in the AM to "wake up" the band.  Apparently tightness in the morning isn"t unusual.

I've always been tighter in the morning too. My surgeon said this is very common. I recently had a 1 cc unfill because my band became noticeably tighter than usual in the morning and I had a couple episodes of reflux at night. Now, I'm a tad too lose and am going back next month to have a bit of that 1 cc put back in.

The thing (other than the reflux :) that really made me nervous that I was too tight was that it was very hard to get coffee down. I had to keep reheating an 8 ounce cup and it took me an hour to drink it. Not good to have too tight of a band.
