Hugs! I always hate to see this happen to ppl so soon out. I have also known of some that have had a slip, esophageal dysmotility, and erossion at just a month or 2 out.

Good luck!!!

If I were you I would take this opportunity and revise over to another surgery. Getting another band is a very bad idea, Did they tell you how the tubing disconnected ?

My leak was in the tubing about 4ins away from the band and the same from the port. I had a very quick op during which the surgeon chopped out the damaged bit and reconnected it.

But for me it was easy as I have lost so much weight that I had excess tubing. In fact, that may have been the cause of the leak, the tubing rubbing.

You are so close to the op that this must surely be a band fault? So no costs should be incurred by you even if you are not NHS.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Bummer, so sorry that you are having to deal with this so close to your original surgery.
