Dr. Steven Binnenbaum, Long Branch NJ

Hello everyone! I am new to this site so I am excited to hear from fellow BANDsters!  I received my LapBand July 16 2008 in Freehold.  I had been satisfied with my care, happy & loosing weight .  Unfortunately, my original Doc had sold his practice and I did not mesh well with the new Doctor.  I don't mind waiting for an apppointment because I always tell myself that the Doctor could be atending to someone who needed his help and I would hope that if I had an emergenct, other patients would be understanding.  Anyway, after 3 appointments I had been kept waiting and waiting and waiting...then I would wait a little more in the exam room!  Once it was 2hours and I was our in 5 minutes!  I think, and it is just my opinion that since my surgery had already been done, and I wasn't this doctors "patient" I felt like I wasn't important.  Also, once time I sat in the examination room and could hear through the walls the 45 minuted conversation and time he was giving to a new potential client. After that he gave me not even 5 minutes and he was out the door!  I have 2 friends who have been top Dr. Binnenbaum and I have heard unbelievable recommendations!!  My insurance (horizon Directaccess) was not a participant with Dr. Binnenbaum but now they are.  I had my first visit today and I cannot even tell you how kind, professional and well, human, they all were!  I was taken in right away, they called my old doctor for my records and received them within 10 minutes. The nurse took all my information and was truly kind too me.  Then the doctor came in and again, all good things!  I had 5 cc's put into my band because the other doc had drained my saline thinking I may have had a slipped band) which i did not!  Neeldess to say I had gained some weight so Doctor Binnenbaum got me back on the right track! 
I have heard of this practice but could not go because they did not participate in Horizon but now that they do, I have found a warm, kind and professional practice!  If you are in the area and are thinking about this, please go see them...take it from someone who as been elsewhere!
