Why is there so much negativity on this site?
So far, my band is great, but I'm a relative newbie and only almost 6 months out with about half of my weight still to lose. When I was even newer, I let the negativity bother me too, but I have realized that if you don't over react to it, it's a learning tool. Now when it gets to name calling and just fussing, I just skip that drama and move on to the next post. My one regret is that I did not come to OH a year before my surgery. As I've said before, I don't think it would have changed my decision, but I would have been more informed. I love this forum, and mt lapband!

I have had some ups and downs with the band I am currently unfilled due to pressure in my chest from tissue swelling. I was in the fill unfill mode for a while and got tired of getting unfilled when it tightened up. But I would do it again in a minute, I am greatful I am able to still have some weight loss even with the band losened its been a lot of work. But well worth it

Add me to the list !!!! I love my band and what it has done and does for me.:) It is a fickle friend to be sure some days are a little rough and I am tighter but all in all when me and my band are at odds it is MY fault.LOL Eating too fast , too much or too big a bite etc. I am so relieved to be lighter and look and feel better . It is not the right choice for everyone but I am happy with my decision .
As for "negative" posts there will be those on ANY forum you go on . Bypass has them, sleeve has them ,DS has them . Like someone said before people tend to post when they are worried or find they have issues looking for insight and support and answers. If those posts bother you (and they did get to me right before my surgery ) take a little break from reading the forums or be very selective about the posts you read and focus on the before and after pics and the journals and the positive things on here. I think everyone needs to go into this with their eyes open but it can get overwhelming at times too. :)

Thanks everyone! I feel a lot better hearing from so many people. I do understand that when someone has a problem it is good to have a place to go and talk about it and get advice. I was just getting overwhelmed, but I feel like I am in a good place again. I am blessed to have to opportunity to change my life, and I plan on making the most of it.
