I need help. I got my bad last March and because of some health issues my band was never fill properly. I lost 80lbs but gained 30 and I am determined to lose it again.
My husband has been put on a strict low carb diet.
So I need low carb meals that taste good to our 13 y/o and is inexpensive since we are on a very strict budget.
I appreciate any help you can offer

Go to www.Atkins.com and that should give you plenty of low carb ideas.

Left the band and rocking with RNY.
They say I have an eating disorder but I say, I have my eating in order.

Eating crap is relatively inexpensive yet buying healthy foods thins the wallet...no wonder so many of us are obese.

Two weeks ago I bought a wonderful cookbook by certified nutritionist, Leanne Ely. Last week was the first week that I began serving her dinner recipes and to rave reviews!

Saving Dinner the Low-Carb Way is broken down into the 4 seasons and each of the 4 has 6 weekly dinner menus along with nut. info and serving suggestions(I am on week 2 of summer). When I do my weekly shopping I take this book with me since it has my complete shopping list for that week.

The first week, I spent a bit more $ then I normally would on condiments/spices but that is to be expected and I will not have to do that again for awhile.

I have found that shopping in bulk and preparing all my meals (or a good majority) can be just as cheap.  As for the 13 year old, there comes a time when they either eat what's made or go hungry.  Time will tell that when hungry you'll eat.
