Here is what called out to me so far, and I paraphrase her wisdom--- there is no cure for obesity, it is a chronic disease with no cure, wls is a treatment, but not a cure. I like where this is going.

It is an AWESOME book.  I read it cover to cover in about a day and a half and while very little of it was new information if you'd done enough research, it was presented in a way that was so easy to understand and incorporate into daily life because rather than coming from a medical person who just studied the process, it was from someone who had been through it and been successful.  I would say that, hands down, over the two years of research I did when choosing a WLS, it was the most valuable resource I came across.  Keep reading!  It just gets better!

I love her book.  I still pull it out and read it just for reminders and a little motivation to whip my rear in shape.

I totally agree! Jean: thank you for writing such a great and informative book. I have told so many people about it. I read it quickly as well because I got so into it and reference it periodically to remind me about stuff. Love it!!!
