Can the heat affect your restriction?

So for the last 3 days it hase been well over 100 degree here...all of a sudden its hard to eat...I can drink fine...but breakfast and lunch are impossible! I take a few bites...get the yucky feeling then I throw up?! What the heck?! I may need an small unfill during the summer here! This is miserable...I cant go anywhere and eat with out worrying about getting stuck or throwing up!

Yes, it tends to make me tighter

If you throw up you should go on fluids for 24 hours to prevent further episodes.

I haven't experienced any change with the high temps & humidity, but have read a lot of people have experienced it.  I am curious as to why it happens with our body temp pretty constant.  I will have to remember to ask my surgeon when I see her at the end of the month.  Does anyone have a reason why it happens to some people?

I found that anything under the sun could change my restriction with the band: morning v. night, temp. changes, sodium intake, altitude, Indiana v. Tennessee v. Georgia., etc. etc.

I had lots of trouble with never knowing when I would vomit and when things would go down. It does suck.

I would definitely try to get in for a small unfill bc living that way is miserable.

Best of luck,
Lindsey

LOL I was meaning to say that it could vary with which state I was in, but I see now that the way I wrote it makes it look like I was talking about sports! haha

I am a Buckeye fan and things aren't looking good for us right now, so I'm trying to avoid thinking of college football until like 2013! lol

Dawgs v. Vols, huh? Which side are you on?

I knew what you meant. I'm a born and bred GA fan - my whole family is! GA and the Buckeye game will be interesting that's for certain!

I'm currently living in GA, a couple of hours away from Athens, so I'm surrounded by thousands of your fellow fans around here! It's bulldog this and bulldog that everywhere.

Hmm... No coach....no quarterback...I don't think any Buckeye game will be very interesting this season! Sigh...I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

YEP!!  Hermosa (from this board) lives in Las Vegas, and she's been having tightness off and on for the past 3 weeks.

I've never felt a difference before today.  Here in St Louis it was 99 degrees, and it usually gets that hot in the summer, no big deal.   But I had an adjustment last month... much needed after not having one for over a year....  and this morning after the gym, I couldnt get anything down.    I actually didnt even try because I knew the humidity was high.   I opted for a protein smoothie (OJ, strawberries, vanilla whey powder) instead and was good.

I recommend WATER WATER WATER...   We need a ton of water anyway, but when you're tight, and the heat/humidity doesnt help matters, water will be your best friend!

That protein shake sounds wonderful!  Where do you get your powder protien from and what kind of protein do you use?  I bet I could use a vanilla atkins shake and blend it all together, but I wi**** was more protein?  what do you suggest?

thanks
