Why I welcome "failed bands" and the "Failed Bands Board"
As usual, this is VERY WELL SAID. I had some unknown person post something nasty to my blog the other day, suggesting that I am not educated about WLS or about how I should eat....blah blah blah. I have over three years worth of weekly blogs there. It's all there, the good, the bad and the ugly.
It really riled me up when she made that comment because I am VERY EDUCATED with the different WLS's and I know how I should be eating. It would be clear to anyone that read more than ONE of my posts. ARGH!! If you don't know someone's full situation, STFU with criticism's, and offer support.....or, EDUCATE YOURSELF on what is going on.
So, as someone that has had several band issues, I definitely support the right for others to talk about their experiences with the band.

This may appear twice as it all vanished half way through snd it may have been sent!
Well said Bette. My only sadness is that so many people felt so criticised and unsupported that the FBB was necessary. I go over there every now and then - we need to know what can go wrong.
My only issue was with those people who, because of their own bad experiences, were frightening not pre-ops who need to know all possible outcomes but terrifying newly post-ops and implying that disaster was inevitable. Not by just sharing experiences but by basically telling them they were stupid and doomed! And that was only a very very small number of posters.
