Medical Help please!!!!! - My friend has the lap band..She had a fill and couldn't eat and keep anything down and lost 35 pounds...She had it taken out the 22nd and hasn't been eating much but she is swollen...

I'm not sure what you would like us to tell you. I'm believe that you meant that she had the fill taken out on the 22nd, rather than the band. If she's recovering from being too tight, she's probably been told by her physician to take it easy for a while and sonsume liquids and purees. If she still can't keep anything down, she should be contacting her physician immediately, especially since there's a holiday weekend coming up.

You don't give a lot of info. What is swollen her stomach from being to tight or her body because for some reason she is retaining what? She needs to call the doc if something is wrong.

Please tell your friend that she should consult with the doctor who is currently caring for her for medical advice.

Did she have the Band or fill taken out on the 22nd?
Swollen - gaining weight or retaining water or is her stomach/stoma swollen???

I hope she returns to the doc. You are a sweet friend for trying to get her help.

Why doesn't your friend contact her surgeon or PCP ?

My thinking is any questions that starts with medical help please is a question for a doctor.
