Approved!!!

I am very excited to announce that I was approved yesterday.  I have been somewhat quiet here because i didn't want to "jinx" myself.  (I have this weird thing about people preying and praying on my downfall, so I keep things to myself until I have accomplished them.)

OK! So i was notified yesterday of my approval and was offered a July 19Th date.  I really did not think it would be that soon so the coward in me declined that date and went for an Aug 3rd date.

I got home, had an uplifting talk with my hubby and he tells me that i should have just went for it.  (I didn't want to have restrictions on my 2yr wed. anniversary)  But why wait?........Because I i want to eat solid foods on my anniversary. Crazy right!

So now I think I made a mistake in asking for Aug. Why put off a wls because I want to eat on a particular day? Ironically, now that I want July my hubby is telling me to just hold out for Aug..


So to sum things up........I will be a on the bandwagon Aug 3.

 Congrats! I can't wait until i get a date!

Congratulations! I remember how excited I was when i got my approval.  I almost pushed my surgery out due to being on vacation for the week before my surgery.  I went through with it and made it through our trip on protein drinks and one very small meal at night which consisted of a 4 oz piece of chicken and a little salad.  I am happy to say that with the excitement of the surgery it made it easy to digest and accept this was going to be my new life.
Tomorrow is my 4 week mark.  The surgery comes up very quickly and I recommend making as many of the changes as possbile as soon as possible.  It will be alot easier come surgery day and recovery if you have started to develop good habits that are consistent with LapBand success.
