I found that I lost much better not using the extra points unless there was a special occasion. Good luck.

Are you going to go to a meeting?  Have a goal in mind, but do not calculate in advance.  Work the program and see what happens - no doubt if you follow, YOU WILL lose!  Do you have restriction?  I'm telling you Brock YOU CAN work this program with your band.  It may help to stay in a zone where you do not have too much food variety.  I used to have a McDonalds Grilled chicken salad or 1 or 2 grilled chicken wraps with very little wrap for lunch almost every single day.  Breakfast was my coffee, a slice of Kraft cheese, and a spoon of peanut butter (weird, but I love it.)  Guess what I'm back to with my sleeve .

Eat the things you really love that are nutritious too.  Light yogurts are excellent and so low-caloried. If you like snacks, go for SF Jello, SF Ice pops, SF puddings, air popped pop corn naked or with little light spread.

Most important is to follow the protein first, veggies & fruits second, then a little complex carbs if you have room.  Yes you can incorporate this WLS rule in with WW!  Stay away from those super high caloried sugar laden killer drinks!

Good luck friend!

I hope you get a GREAT leader.

Please, Please don't focus too much on the numbers ------ you can't really control them.
Focus on -- eating within your points plus range, getting adequate hydration, getting some exercise -- things you can absolutely control.

I agree with watching those points! If you calculate the calories, they may be too high for you to achieve your goals. I also agree with not eating those extra points and also, don't subtract the exercise calories.
I lost a lot of weight using the point system, but unless I exercised like Jack Lalane, I couldn't budge the scale.
If you have a good leader and a good group of people at the meetings, you will have better success as well.
Best of luck!
Mary
