Do I have a shopping problem?
I was a clothes addict at a size 26. Now that I'm in a 20, I'm that much worse but still limited to plus sized offerings. As soon as I hit that magical size 18, it's going to be curtains for me. I already know it. The hubs and I will FIGHT on this one. But things are just so cute! I can't help it!
One really great thing is that there is a plus sized consignment store here in town and I've become one of their favorite sellers. I'm not so good at buying the consignment items (truth be told, I'm a bit squicked by it) but I take them items almost weekly, often things that I've only worn once or that still have tags on them because I found them on sale (end of season sales are my own personal crack... it is NOT. GOOD.) and never got around to wearing them.
Just enjoy it. Figure out what you can afford to spend and reward yourself. Look cute. Be proud. Enjoy it. I seriously doubt that on my deathbed I will say "I wish I hadn't looked so damn cute."

Watch the movie confessions of a shopaholic. If you can relate-you have a problem-LOL!!! Personally I think there are far worse obsessions out there. Clothes and shoes are on the bottom of my list. Though, if you can't pay your electric bill because your clothes/shoe bill was too much-I'd say you'll look great in the dark as well!!! LOL!! Maybe limit your spending to under 20$ a week-if you can't find something for under 20$ with your discount-it wasn't meant to be. And you can't stockpile your money to make it 80 to cover the whole month

Jean --
When I worked at my friend's Quilt shop and wanted to buy fabric, I made myself go home -- and if I really wanted it, I had to go back on a separate trip.
I could not spend money there while I was already there ----- making it a separate trip gave me the 'separation' that I needed to really consider whether it was a good idea to go ahead with the purchase.
It sure is tempting with that employee discount, isn't it??!!

Kath, I worked in a So-Fro fabric store years ago...same exact problem! But since cut fabric couldn't be returned, I wasn't as likely to buy stuff I didn't really need.
