Anyone ever worry about this?

I know my weight loss is going to be so important to my health and family. However, I currently don't like my body and am afraid that I will dislike it even more when I drop weight. I am so worried about how I will look with all that extra skin. I am only 5' 2 and started at 312. Anyone else worry about this and how did you handle it when the time came?
IMHO there is not much you can do about excess skin, short of plastic surgery. Once the elactisity goes, it's gone. Lots of factors like genetics, years of gaining and loosing weight, pregancies all play a part. There is a lot you can do to hide excess skin with clothing, using body slimmers et... Probably not what you wanted to hear, but it's just my opinion. Congrats on your surgery!
I started out at 383, am now approx 175... and look smaller. Why? because I work out by lifting weights and doing cardio..
I do have some loose skin, but I rarely wear things like spanx.. because the exercise has given me muscle under the loose skin. Toned muscle under loose skin looks a whole lot better than untoned muscle.
I'm still debating about plastic surgery, but really, except for my upper arms, no one can tell I was formerly super morbidly obese when I am dressed.
As to how you will feel about yourself? I look at myself naked in the morning every day and think positive thoughts.. like "look how well you've done" It may sound conceited, but if you tell yourself positive things, it really helps the mental attitude.
Hope this helps even a little.

I have not lost all my weight but people tell me I look younger than I did when I was young. Being an older woman this skin did not find the elasticity it had lost a long time ago. I do need toning but not being fit in the beginning I am what I am. Age and shape make a difference too. I had lipo on my arms. However my saggy parts can be girdled down. Since the girdle and I have been friends all my life, we remain. My body looked better naked when it was full and not saggy. I am clothed the majority of the time and only my gynecologist, my DH and myself see the flab. So answer your question, Yes, I did worry about it but came to realize life with extra skin is a whole lot better than life or the lack of life and holding on to the fat. I could not have it both ways. I chose the good life.
