Lap Band on 08/26/10 with

Hi Everyone,

I know it has been awhile since I logged in and posted, but I have a question.  It has almost been a year since by lap band surgery, but sometimes after I eat I get pains where my belly button is located and where the band is located at the top of stomach.  I told my doctor he believes it is from the surgery and the only way to fix it is to have him surgical fix it and said no.  Sometimes when I put a heating pad on it, it does help.  Has anyone experienced this issue?

I have no experience along what you're describing, but have you tried making some changes in your food choices or changing the amount you eat (making it less.. even by just an ounce or so), the speed at which you eat?

What about trying a tiny unfill and see if that eases things?

Hope you get some answers soon.

Not sure why you would have pain near your belly button?  Pain where your band is, well that could be from eating too fast, eating too much, eating too dry of food.

What did the surgeon say he was going to do for another surgery?  Have you had a UGI done, ( where you swallow barium and they can see your esophagus and stomach etc? )

Maybe you have an umbilical hernia? I know they're more common in infants than in adults, but ya never know!

I have a hiatal hernia and it causes weird sensations and pain at the top of my stomach quite often.
