I have to call the doc but I am not sure if I call my regular doc or my bariatric doc. I would normal call the regular doc but since I am only 8 days post-op I wasn't sure. I think I am getting a a urinary track infection.

Personally, I'd start with my primary care physician.

Thanks! I figured that and almost thought it was a stupid question but only being 8 days out I worry about everything.

It never hurts to ask. In this case, either can probably handle the issue but you might get faster results from your PCP.

Call your PCP first and see if they'll help.  This happened to me.  Unless you had a catheter while you had surgery, your PCP has to handle it.  If you DID have a catheter, it's your bariatric surgeon's job to fork over the script.

The PCP will tell you if she or he can't treat you. Most of them don't want to even look at you if it's in any way related to the band. But, best to always check first.
Best,
Mary
