I need some kind of food ideas

I was banded on 6/16,  I am ready to start soft, mushie foods.  Any ideas? I am really bored with cream of chicken, yogurt (I will still eat it, not just as often),  I just need something that I can put in my mouth and it will feel like food.  I know I am still healing but my taste buds are going nuts.
Thanks!!!

Hi there. My favorite food and I still eat it today was refried beans. I would put some cheese over it zap it in microwave and then put some light sour cream on top yum yum lol. I ate the single serving of them Bob Evans mashed potatoes also. Me personally I never worried about calories or carbs because it was a time to heal not worrying about numbers

Can you eat eggs my doc considered that a soft food, cottage cheese , applesauce was another I ate. I just could not and would not purée meats to me that was just gross. So I got my protein from eggs protein shakes and refried beans during this stage.

I was allowed to have 'well forked' tuna salad -- and I would break up wheat thins into 1/4's and eat a smidge of tuna with a tiny bite of cracker

I also made 'Baked Ricotta' (1 cup or ricotta, 1/2 cup parmesean, 1 egg, italian spices, top with marinara and mozzerella cheese and bake at 400 for about 30 minutes) -- it is like the insides of lasagna

I put a few drops of picante sauce into my cream of chicken soup to spice it up --- I got sick of the sweet shakes pretty quickly

my Surgeons office during the phase 2 moist and mushy phase allows us things like: scrambled eggs made with a little butter, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, pudding, yogurt (Greek yogurt preferred), creamed spinach, watermelonThink pourable solids that when you turn the cup upside down, it just glops onto the plate!

Good luck!

If your dh loves beets, get some fresh, remove the greens (and save them, they  can be cooked just like spinach) and wrap the roots in tinfoil & bake like a potato.  You can peel first or bake and then slip the skins off.

We LOVE them that way.

I also ate grits, oatmeal, strained cream of mushroom soup, well blended broccoli & cheese soup, mashed sweet potatoes, and mashed banana with peanut butter.
