I haven't posted something on here in such a long time! I apologize...Anyways I originally had my lap band in 2007 at that time I weight 267...well I eventually got down to 190 in about a year......13 months ago I got pregnant and had all the saline removed from my port i gained 47 pounds! ugh i know....For some reason I feel as thought the doc punctured my port and therefore caused a leak...anyways I am getting this done tomorrow under local anesthesia and was hoping if anybody could give me insight on recovery for port replacement and their experiences...Thanks!

I had my port repositioned after it flipped. It was done as an outpatient procedure. I was sedated and don't recall a thing about the surgery itself. As for recovery...I was in more pain after the port repair surgery than my original band surgery, I think because of scar tissue from my original surgery. And the bruising was quite dramatic (but I bruise easily anyway). I took 2 weeks off work because my current "day" job involves a lot of physical activity - nothing strenuous, but a lot of lifting, reaching, bending, turning, etc.
