I lost 60 lbs. in 6 months.

Untimately lost 119 lbs in 24 months.

Only re-gained because I am stupid...no fault of the band!

Everyone is different.  Some people drop a lot at first and tapper off, some people have a slow and steady weight loss.  I on the other hand didn't lose much at all at first.  I am 2 1/2 years out and most of my weight loss came within the past year.  I have lost a total of 150 lbs.

Some don't lose at all until they reach their optimal fill level. I did not lose an ounce for over 3 weeks after surgery then began to lose and reached my goal at 5 months. Others have plateaus. In other words, there is no way to tell. The average is considered 1-2lbs. a week. Some more, some less. I lost inches whenever I wasn't losing weight and I consider that to be way better. Much will depend upon you and what you do with your eating. If you follow your surgeons plan to a T, get your fluids in, concentrate on dense protein and complex carbs you will loose at the proper rate for your body. Good luck.

It's impossible to predict since there are too many variables. I lost 100 pounds in 6 months, but I'm more of a "mutant" than most people.

Count me as a mutant along with Bette B.,   I lost 100 lbs in 7 months.  At the beginning I was losing at a rate of about 4lbs a week.. way higher than expected.

Larger people tend to lose faster.

My goal was to lose 110 pounds.  The first year I lost 75 pounds.  That gave me an average of 1.4 pounds a week.  Since I lost 30 pounds the first month (being on liquids), I went MANY weeks of no weight loss at all!!  It was a long frustrating road.  I lost slowly my second year also, until my band started slipping......I lost weight pretty rapidly then!

I just hit the sixth month mark, and i'm down 38 pounds total.  That includes 7 pounds lost pre-op.  I was a "lightweight" to start with, so i'm at about 50% of goal right now.
