I have been maintaining my weight since. Sept.(well within about 5 pounds) Lost 107 pounds in about 10 months. 7 pounds a month is very realistic- you can do it! Keep up the good work!

Hey Renee.. Great work.

I hit a new low this morning.  175, which is -210 from the day of seminar, about 2 1/2 years ago.

I won't stay at 175, I will likely bounce back up for a few days or even weeks.. but I've found that my pattern is even if I do bounce back up, if I've seen a lower number once on the scale, I'll eventually see it again.  :)

I've also found that if my loss slows or stalls, I take a bootcamp type class or take personal training on top of my regular workouts.  I can't do bootcamp/PT all the time, it's too hard on my older, damaged joints.. but every 2 or 3 months I can.  And as I get stronger my joints seem to tolerate more...

Congrats on your success!  Enjoy floating on cloud 9 today!

Congrats! Won't be long before you are in onederland! Woo Hoo!

I am down almost 90 lbs since surgery. My BMI just slipped out of the obese range and into overweight. Yay! I've got about 35 lbs to go to get into the normal BMI range.

I am also slipping out of plus sizes and into regular sizes! It feels so great.I cleaned out my closet and got rid of TONS of plus size clothes I had been hanging on to forever. Not this time...I'll never be there again!

Isn't it exciting to think of how good we will be feeling come Christmas?? I can't wait!

Congrats! Remember, the closer you get to your goal you wieght loss will slow, but 1-2 lbs a week is still normal. You may hit a plateau, also. You can do it.

I started in Jan. 2010 at 214. By the time I had my first consult I was down to 206.8. I got my band May 4 and was down 21 pounds. I met my goal of 145 Oct. 5, 2010. I kept going down to 140 by Thanksgiving but that was too low. I gained a bit over the winter (this maintenance thing is new to me since I never have done it before), about 13 lbs. I am 149 right now and I think I will try to settle right here. I look better than at the lower weight. I still have a spare tire but with my limited ability to exercise (even in physical therapy) it won't be going anywhere.

Life is good, I am 61 years old and will never look like even a 61 year old model, but compared to what I was I am thrilled and amazed. I wear a large or extra large in tops, a 14 in dresses or jackets, but an 8-10 in pants. I'm funny looking, but again, I am greatful for what I have been able to accomplish.

I thank God daily for the gift of my band and the progress I've made.

I got my band on Feb 25, 2011 at 219lbs.  I'm down over 30lbs and just about to into a 12 pant size...maybe 2 or 3 more lbs!  I'm top heavy so 14 still on the top.  People have begun to really notice and I feel more confident than ever!  The amazing thing to me is that even when I do go a little off program, it is very easy for me to get right back the very next meal!  I have never been able to do that in my entire life...I was ALWAYS an all-or-nothing girl...one slip up and right back to gluttony!  But no more.

I'm so happy that I did this.
