Rescheduled my surgery...another 3 weeks!!
I am sorry they had to reschedule your surgery. That sucks. Keep up with the low carb diet though- it's really important. It is meant to shrink your liver. If your liver is too big, they don't have enough room to work and cannot put the band in. hang in there, 3 weeks is nothing compared to the rest of your life as a happier, healthier you. Good luck!
Hang in there! I am 3 weeks post op and I count my total weight loss....not the band weight loss. This means you have 3 more weeks to lose and add to your total. You have already begun your new way of life by make the choice to get the band. Now you need to keep the willpower you will need even after you have the band. I have been hungry with my band because I have to wait 6 weeks after surgery to get a fill. I, myself have to wait 7 because I got a very large hematoma from over-doing it post surgery so they want to wait another week. Keep on hanging around here and you will stay away from that cupcake because it is just not worth it.

Just skip the cupcake and go ahead and cry. It is frustrating and maddening and you have every reason to be upset.
Last time I was super upset I defrosted my freezer. It took several hours and I got to hack at ice with a knife. I took out the majority of my anger/frustration/sorrow/all negative emtions with the physicalness of the hacking. Find something physical to do.. it will help.
I'd try to find out if this "forgetting" is typical of this surgeon too... once in a great while is understandable and forgivable, but if they routinely forget to tell schedulers or office personnel that they won't be available, this might be a red flag that this surgeon isn't an optimal choice.
