I'm sorry if you're disappointed. Perhaps your surgeon didn't  make it clear that the average weight loss with the band is 1 - 2 pounds per week. You've been losing at a rate of 1.875 pounds per week, so in my opinion, you're doing fantastic!

If you are feeling restriction then the last thing you should do is go in for another fill.

Look everybody on this board knows I am anti band, but I can still help you, if you let me.

If you get a fill and become too restricted you will be setting yourself up for a whole lot of pain. Your band can slip and then there are going to be a whole set of painful problems you will have to deal with. It is incredibly easy for a too restricted band to slip, so please reconsider.

Here are some alternative suggestions I have for you.

You may not really be as hungry as you think. You may be experiencing the mother of all internal battles with " The Evil Head Hunger Monster " I'm totally serious about this. You have to distract yourself from wanting to eat anything that is not within your post op diet. Try to get out more by walking with your children and/or dogs, listen and dance to your favorite music. Rent some DVDS,
( Turn the TV off because all those stupid commercials for food just seem to trigger the need to feed.)

Track your protein, water, and calorie intake.

If you are doing all this already then just be patient because more then likely you are losing inches right now which is wayyyyyy better then losing lbs. I just revised 28 days ago from the band to the VSG and I have only lost four LBS, but I have already lost a whole dress size so I feel like this.

Good luck and patient.

Pumkin-

Thank you for your great answer to the question, I could not agree more.

I wish you the best with the VSG and congrats on the dress size.

Support- that is what we are here for.

What Pumpkin posted is correct.   If you are experiencing some restriction now, don't be too quick to go for another fill.

You will probably eventually need more, but you want to wait until you are truly not satisfied for more than 4 to 5 hours and drinking extra water isn't helping.

The fills don't make us lose weight.  How the fills are supposed to work is to make us satisfied on smaller portions of food for anywhere from 3 to 5 hours.

You can help the rate of loss by exercising, making wise choices in the type of foods you choose to eat and getting lots of water in.

Hang in there.
