I need all the help and support I can get!
I was banded on 8/21/06 @ 320 lbs. By 8/21/08 I was down to 201 lbs. When I got married on 06/05/10 I was back up to 255 lbs. Now, 06/21/11, I am back to 297.4 lbs.
I have been trying to lose the re-gained weight for a few years. I just have too many bad habits.
My surgeon won't put any more fluid in me for fear of making me too tight. Besides, I tend to eat around it. Casseroles, your basic slider foods, ice cream and crap, and soda...plenty of soda.
I know WHAT I need to do. I need your guys help to keep me in line doing it!
I'm sad, but, with your help, I'll be a happy 249 lb. guy (-48.4) when my wife gives birth in 23 weeks!

Hi Brock,
You're right. You know what to do. If I were you, I would focus on your baby on the way.
Think of all the things you want to be able to do with your child... be able to play on the floor with him/her, run around outside, etc. That should be motivation enough, I would think.
I know it's easier said than done, but think about how you'd like to be a good example for your child. You've done it before. You can do it again.
I wish you the best!!!

Sorry you are having a rough time. That's great you reached out for support in getting back on track. You have gotten some good advice already. I would add, start excersising if your not already. It is a huge piece of the puzzle. There are so many benefits, just one being weight loss. I find there is something about it that helps with food choices. Start out slow and gradually increase your duration/intensity. If you are working out, try changing up what you do and/or do it with more intensity/duration. I also reccomend a lowfat/low carb/high protien diet. That's how I lost 107 pounds in 10 months. Do it for you and your family! Best wishes and keep us posted on how your doing.
Counseling, Brock. It is seriously the only thing that is gonna help change habits. (I'm working on this and finding that most of my bad eating habits come from issues of past abuse. I knew this, but it helps to work through them by talking to someone who has insight and will listen objectively.)
What's compelling you to eat the crap foods? Boredom? Emotion? Because they're there? (BIG problem in MY house... skinny husband, skinny kid. Hubs buys junk. I ask him to hide it. He doesn't feel "right" doing that. Doesn't quite understand the nature of my problem, unfortunately.)
I know how crappy it feels to regain. You're not alone in this.

I read your 2nd post first. Thank you fo the update. Just curious, have you ever considered a revision? I'm not saying give up, but is a revision something you're even thinking about?
I know it's not easy and it's really hard to regain that early motivation when you've learned how to cheat the band.
