Upcoming 35th Birthday...pics included
My best friend turns 35 ... one month before I do so to celebrate her birthday I booked us a staycation at a local casino.. I got a great special we headed to the pool early Sunday and we soaked up the sun and celebrated with a few (a lot) of ****tails ..... (crystal light & vodka I only had two drinks that weren't low cal)
The more we drank of course the more we spoke about things we don't always say like how much we appreciate our friendship of 32 years... how glad we are to be close and living together after all these years...we spoke about our childhood and how much I hated the body I was in before surgery. She was astonished... she didn't realize .. and I said yeah because I was still me and I was happy in general about things but I hated my sizeI hated always wondering if I could do that, or fit in that chair or in a booth... so instead of showing that.. I pretended all was good with the world when I was miserable in the inside. It's not a vain thing about my looks but the size I was it was difficult to just do things... hike, go to the lake, wear a bathing suit, walk for a long periods of time, travel etc. Having surgery didn't change my life in the fact that I met the man of my dreams and all is good in the world LOL.. um no.. but it has given me new opportunities I hadn't had before. I'm taking advantage of the fact that I'm single and I have no kids to TRAVEL and I'm more social and generally happier at my prospects in life.
Here are two before photos..... and one of me at the pool Sunday ... 90+ pounds down and happy :)
