Hi, and an update

Hello my old friends.

I am 296 lbs now.  Can't budge things.  Mostly because I can't break bad habits.  Not the band's fault.  So I am learning to accept my fat guy fate.

On a plus note...my wife is 17 weeks pregnant now.  Due Thanksgiving.  Thise that don;t know, this is #1 for us, so we are really excited.

We are still planning on moving to Phoenix next spring, so that is some excitement.  Our biggest fear, the summer heat, is something we are elarning to deal with.  The term DRY HEAT is really meaningful.

That is all I can think of.  The wife and I had our 1-year anniv. recently.  Things are going pretty good.

Take care all.

Congratulations on your little one.  I'm from up north and the idea of dry heat cracks me up -- so what? Does that mean it's easier to be live in an oven than a steam bath?

Um.. yes.   Dry heat is easier to tolerate.  Just as dry cold isn't as penetrating as wet cold.

Here is what I just learned:

It is very often in the single digits humidity there.  At least under 20%.  Here is MN, we are often 75% or more...85%+ on bad days.

So you take that 77% average, on a 85* day.  Your HEAT INDEX is 96*.

Conversely, in Phoenix it may be 105*, but the humidity is 10%.  So that HEAT INDEX is 99*.

I'd rather put up with that 3 degree difference a few months a year to not shovel the driveway, scrape the windshield, put the layers on myself and my family, warm the car, and drive on ice all winter every winter!

Congratulations on the pregnancy, Brock!
Wishing you the best with the move, too. I understand the humidity thing,Neighborino!

Take care, hope all goes really well.

Congrads on the baby. I have lived in Phoenix (Peoria) for 6yrs. You may love it here. The dry heat really is different, we only have hummidty when the monsoon comes and that is uaually for only about an hour. It is really nice here. Maybe we can meet when you actually move here.
