Lost my focus

I need motivation or something!  I had my surgery 1 yr ago 6/16 and have lost 84 lbs so far which I am thrilled about.  My problem is that for the last month or so I find myself craving sweets...especially chocolate..it's terrible.  I'm snacking in between out of boredom.  How do I get my mind set back??  Anybody else going though this?  I'll be really good all day with my protein shakes and usually cheese or yogurt in between; but once I get home from work I race to the closet to eat something I know I shouldn't be eating.  Why am I doing this to myself?  I really need to get my focus back and just can't seem to find it.  Any advice on how to bet back on track?

I'm told the lapband works best with real food, as in dense proteins (3 oz per meal).  Could it be you are eating too many "mushie" type foods and they aren't really satisfying you? (This coming from the girl who loses her battle with night munchies 50% of the time.  Latest intervention for me is more protein and going to bed with my book and away from the kitchen.)  Good luck to you!

Your protein shakes and yogurt will not be enough for you.   That is good for after you possibly had a stuck moment and need to do liquids 24 hours, then mushies for the next 24.

Time for you to be eating 75% protein and 25% veggies and you will be full.   Try no sugar at all and after 2 weeks you will lose the cravings!   LOL but trust me I suffer when I have blown it and need to go back to reality!

Good luck!

I have the same cravings. I mean, I baked tonight for Father's Day and it was hard.  We have to understand that sweets are a pain but feeling guilty about eating them is worse.

Are you excersising? If not, I highly reccomend you start. It has so many benefits, just one being weight loss. There is something about working out that helps with food choices. Start out slow and gradually increase your duration/intensity. Good luck!
