NOT Complaining...just wondering

We had a wonderful style show from Barbara Graves at our Suport Group Meeting last night.  All models were lapbanders.  For the ones who were at or below goal, their port was really prominent in the swimsuits they modeled.  Please don't get me wrong.  I would much rather my port show instead of my fat. It was just unexpected.  Is this a common issue for those who are at or below goal weight?

That might be because they had the older high profile ports implanted. They have newer lower  profile ports now.

I have a Realize Band (11cc) and my port is placed about 3 inches 'north' of my belly button.

I have lost 135 pounds --- wear a size 8 pants/small blouse and my port is not visible in any of my clothes (including my swimsuit).

My port started to stick out a bit after loosing about half my weight. It's not visible in my bathing suit- of course it would be if I wore a bikini. I looked into getting a low-profile port put in (had I known I would have requested the surgeon use that in the first place). It cost $4,000, not worth that kind of money to me for sure. Just gonna live with it.
