Anyone on their 2nd LapBand?
Thanks for the response. Yes, I do feel exercise is not a miracle cure, nor is calorie counting. It's a combo of both. I've always had success losing weight just by eating less (even without exercise). Everyone is different. I want to build up my muscle mass in order for it to work more effectively for me (even while I'm just sitting). I never put emphasis on it with my 1st surgery, but I'm much more concerned about it now.
My coworker had her band replaced. She was just a little overweight to begin with so she didn't lose alot of weight..I think like 60 lbs the 1st time and this 2nd time , she has lost but gained 20 lbs. I have not had any major problems that warranted my band needing replacement; however, I can say that I lost my passion and focus that I had the 1st year. Since regaining it, I've lost 13 lbs in no time flat the way I did the 1st year and so I expect to be at 150 or less by my birthday in August. You can do it, we can do it, we just have to follow through with it and remember how fanatical we were in the beginning. Remember we had to work for every lb lost because we had the band and not the GOP you know.
