NEED HELP FOR A FRIEND

I posted this on the RNY forum as well.....

I have a dear friend who had RNY in April and she's had nothing but trouble since her surgery. First she wasn't able to keep anything down(even liquids) or urinate but the surgeon sent her home anyway with a catheter in. All her vomiting led to not only dehydration but ALSO a bowel leak. The leak was fixed and she had a feeding tube for a few weeks. Seemed to be doing better but is still nauseous ALL THE TIME. It's alll she can do to get her protein shakes in and sometimes a couple bites of food.

I just spoke with her and her white blood cell count has jumped way up(almost doubled from where it was) to 20000. They checked where the feeding tube had been for infection, didnt find anything. Did an endoscopy, found nothing. But theres infection in there SOMEWHERE.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has had anything similar happen to them? Any ideas that we can research to point out the surgeon. I told her to find a new surgeon to get a second opinion, I don't trust her surgeon(but thats a whole different story).

Anyway, ANY advice you guys can offer would be so wonderfully appreciated. I'm gonna start googling anything I can think of. Thank you so much!!!
