I'm 40!!!!

Today is my 40th birthday and I'm not a bit sad about it.  I'm not worried about getting old or thinking about how nice it would be to be 25 again....nope not me.  Why????

Because I look and feel better at 40 than I did at 20!!!  I'm at the lowest weight I have been in 20 years.  I'm off all my meds.  I run every day....I haven't ran since I was a little kid.  I feel light on my feet.   

So when someone asked me why I'm so happy to turn 40...and I said why not, it's something to celebrate!!! 

When I was 30 I was over 300 lbs and wore a size 28 and I could barely walk up my stairs to my apartment. 
At 40 I am 205 lbs and I wear a size 14!!!

I cried when I turned 30.  I will be 32 next month and I still can't believe I'm almost 32!  I will probably need a sedative to get through my 40th birthday!  Age kills me for whatever reason!

You might feel different about age after you lose lots of weight and feel great about yourself.  I never really cared about age but now I really don't care.  I enjoyed my birthday today and ate a big piece of cake!!!!  I got lots of presents, including some gift cards (shopping spree).  What's not to love about birthdays....especially when you're 150 lbs lighter....hahaha

At work they decorated my office with "over the hill" decorations and grave stones...it was great.  I also got an Old Maid game....hahaha. 

Happy belated Birthday....You look so good...nothing like having a big birthday and looking better than ever....I never want to see my birthdays but what's the flip side..ha ha....I feel good loosing weight with my band since Dec. and hope in Sept. when I have my next B.D. I will be much closer to my gold...Keep up the great work and again, Happy Birthday!

Congrats. on a great milestone!

It's the 9's that bother me.  29 wasn't so bad cuz I was preggers with DD, but 39, & 49 bothered me.  Not to an extreme point.. just knowing I was on the edge of a new decade....

I wonder if 59 will be different (hope I'll still be under 200 then).  :)
