Adjustable Gastric Band on 12/20/10
Slow, slow, slow.  I hear ya.  And it's frustrating - but i think folks who lose slowly have more luck keeping it off.

I get really down sometimes when i see posts from folks that were banded about the same time as me (1 week away from 6 months) at the 50 pound mark, or more.  But i know i'm doing everything right, and every body is different.

I was a lightweight, and i'm averaging about 1 pound a week since surgery.  Granted, i lost almost 10 pounds the first 2 weeks, and there have been weeks when i have bounced back and forth the same 1-2 pounds.  But i'm working with a trainer 5 hours a week, and i do at least a half hour of cardio 6 days a week on top of that.  I can see the difference in muscle definition, and in how my clothes fit.

So, chin up, and keep slogging along.  35 pounds down is 35 pounds gone for good!

Shamrock is right some of us just lose slower then others.

A friend of mine has lost almost 50 pounds in four months and she does nothing and I mean nothing and I get so frustrated sometimes with that.   I work my ass off on exercise and she does nothing and knocks off 3 pounds in a week *sigh*

There might be times I will only lose a pound one week and then nothing the next week then boom I will knock off 3 pounds in one week .   I'm never consistent with the weight loss and it is frustrating when you dont see the scale move.

I know how easy it is to say to take measurements but the scale is our visual point that is where we can actually see numbers go down and when they dont it frustrates you to the point of giving up sometimes or eating things we shouldn't.

That is the time I have always quit trying because of that right there.

Just hang in there as long as you are losing weight it dont matter . The good news is you are getting smaller then larger :o)   This time last yr I was at 348 pounds knocking on 350 and a two day a pack smoker things can change so much in a yr even if you are a slow loser :o)

PS I also agree with Shamrock the folks that lose weight more slowly has a much better chance of keeping the weight off :o)

Sometimes our bodies become used to what we are feeding them.  It sounds like you are following all the "rules" (aside form the water... which is SO IMPORTANT) so maybe you need to shake things up a little.  And it sounds crazy, I know, but when I feel like I'm stalling out, I will actually INCREASE my calories for a few days, add in a snack of cheese and fruit at some point in the day.  Or if I've been eating the same things for every meal, I'll just ban those foods from my diet for a few days and try all new things.

And if that doesn't work, the one surefire thing I can do is just have two or three days where I really load up on protein.  Eggs for breakfast, turkey for lunch, fish for dinner.  Raw cashews or cheese cubes for a snack.  I find that to be really helpful too.

Good luck!
